There's no doubt about it, the rental market is one tough "cookie" to bite into. However, that doesn't mean it can't be done and that you won't ever be able to get ahead with your Dallas rental houses. You just may have to do a little work to your investment properties to make them stand out and prospective renters fall in love. So, what kinds of things can you do to improve your Dallas rentals and get them leased quickly? Below are a few suggestions.

Hire Reliable Dallas Property Management – Believe it or not, a lot of renters want to lease a place that has a team of professionals taking care of it. While you may be perfectly capable (and content) taking care of your properties, you may be missing out on some of the better tenants because of it.
Replace Old Light Fixtures – Yes, light fixtures are only cosmetic, but for renters searching for Dallas rental houses...they want a property that's just as pretty as it is sturdy. And, one of the easiest (and affordable) ways to make a house more pleasing to the eye is by buying new light fixtures.
Add More Storage – While it most likely isn't within your budget to add on to your homes for rent in Dallas, you may be able to provide renters with better outdoor storage. If your properties have decent size backyards, then consider purchasing a cheap storage building for it.
